Harrogate Community Radio relies on a system of patronage forged with good ties in the local area. If your business is looking to sponsor a community venture that has a hyper-local focus, then can we suggest Harrogate Community Radio?

We have kept books and an invoicing system, so it is all above board. If you want to help keep this station Harrogate-relevant and community-minded, get in contact with Andrew Backhouse at [email protected] and he will do his best not to panic.

In return for the quarterly donation by your company, your logo will be placed on this website that will, in turn, link back to your website, web shop or sales funnel. We receive around 60-80 Unique Website hits a day, on a quiet day, and there is big user participation on our site. It is just a nice way of saying ‘Thanks’ for the donation. It will never compete with the bigger outlets like The Advertiser – but, you would be helping people broadcast, people who passionately care about making Harrogate a better place to live.

All of the hosts point their listeners to this site when they speak in their show. And if this site’s stats don’t interest you our biggest listenership is on Alexa – there is word of mouth and social media, too. When a host points their listener to this site, there is a banner featuring our donors logos on the Homepage, the Listen Again page and on the About/Contact page. You’ll be pleased to hear that the number of donors/sponsors is slowly growing.

We are currently trialing a scheme where a business or institution can sponsor the station for £75 a Quarter – for three months you will have your logo on this site and a report emailed to you weekly, every Monday, showing how many people have visited the site.

If you are hesitant, we can supply a PDF of the past month’s visitors for you, so you can make you mind up easier? But, at heart, this is a community project that relies on the good will of its listeners – we don’t want to charge people for listening, but the station needs to keep afloat.

We are constantly treading a fine line between going under and selling out – I hope you recognise the choice to seek financial support was not taken lightly. If you can afford it as a business, feel free to email [email protected].
